espresso coffee machinesBeing raised outside of Seattle, I am all too familiar with the obsession with espresso coffee machines. There is a Starbucks on about every single corner of every city. I grew up in a fairly small suburban town and there was four Starbucks within one minute of each other not to mention the other coffee stores. I am not too sure why America has such an addiction to espresso coffee machines. Not being a coffee drinker it just blows my mind how much money some people spend on weekly lattes, coffees and espressos.

I could hazard a guess that Americans are always on the go and need a way to stay awake but I am not so sure that is the reason. It almost seems like hanging around espresso coffee machines is the cool thing to do. It is hilarious to watch some people carry their coffees like it is the sweetest thing to have in their hand. Can you tell me why America is Starbucks obsessed?

We are raising a nation of people who get caffeine headaches, get antsy when a daily coffee is missed and where countless dollars are wasted for a drink. Cool huh?
