When my coffee expenditures began to reach over $50 per week from purchasing lattes and espresso shots from the local coffee bar, my husband decided it was time to give me the luxury I enjoyed at the price he could live with.  He researched all types of espresso coffee machines online and mulled over the national brands vs. international brands.  He eventually went with an Italian company specializing in commercial espresso machines as well as automatic espresso machines.  The particular one he chose was a wonderful countertop-sized model with an internal pump, so that I could make more than one cup at a time.

Initially, it was an expense that needed justifying.  But once we ran the figures on owning one of these fine espresso coffee machines as opposed to frequenting the coffee bars, we realized that our purchase had paid for itself within the first two months!  I was shocked not only to see just how much coffee I require to make it through my day, but also that we had made it this long without one!

I love my morning jumpstart, and I love knowing that I made it myself!
