When I lived in the northwest, drinking a cappachino or a latte any time of day is a northwest tradition. On many of those cold and rainy days, there is nothing like having a hot latte in your hand. I actually didn’t develop a taste for coffee until I lived in the northwest. I grew-up in the southwest and my parents would make the brew every morning and though I loved the smell, I would never drink it. Acclimating myself to the northwest, a cappachino or a latte did the trick for me to feel warm and I started to love the taste. Many of my friends had espresso coffee machines in their kitchens. I would go over and visit many times to various friends and they would start up the espresso coffee machine before we sat down to catch-up. There is something very comforting about drinking a cappachino or a latte, it also brings people together to chat and hang out. I now am a true latte fan and I owe it all to the northwest.
